CONTACT THE AUTHORITIES
Under Provincial Legislation, if you have reasonable grounds to suspect that a participant is or may be suffering from emotional abuse, physical abuse, and/or sexual abuse, you should immediately report the suspicion and the information on which it is based to the local child protection agency and/or the local police department. In Alberta, call the Child Abuse hotline 1-800-387-KIDS (5437).

CANADIAN CENTRE FOR CHILD PROTECTION
The Canadian Centre for Child Protection is a registered charity dedicated to the personal safety of all children. The goal of the Canadian Centre is to reduce child victimization by providing programs and services to the Canadian public. If you have a concern about a child and want to talk to someone, contact the Canadian Centre for Child Protection using the 'Report A Concern' button on their website. If you suspect abuse, report it to your local child welfare and/or police. If your concerns are about a child who is in immediate danger or risk, call 911 or your local police.

If you are a victim or witness of harassment, abuse or discrimination in sport, contact the Canadian Sport Helpline to share your concerns and be referred to the appropriate resources.
